TFM: One day, all children in Malaysia will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education





KUALA LUMPUR- “Soon we will have, in dozens of countries around the world, unstoppable movements to realise the day when all children have the opportunity to attain an excellent education.” –said Wendy Kopp, CEO and Co-Founder of Teach For All.

Teach For Malaysia aims to build a different class of leaders that will join a global movement committed to addressing education inequity. All of the staff members are from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. They play a critical role in the mission.

DzameerDzulkifli, Managing Director of Teach For Malaysia said he was inspired to start Teach For Malaysia because he believes education is an important factor in unleashing the potential in every child, the key to addressing most of the world’s greatest challenges. 

“Teach For Malaysia is about providing education in areas where it’s

needed the most  while simultaneously developing leaders that will advocate and drive necessary systemic reform for long term success.” –said 
Dzameer, when he’s not running TFM, his enjoys running, reading and capoeira.
“To me, education is more than a means of survival and financial security. Education is that which shapes a person’s thoughts, without which an individual is void of an identity.” –said Joyce Ching, TFM 2012 Fellow.

Moreover, Teach For Malaysia April last year, have been supported by 49 inspirational leaders into classrooms, inspiring over 1,600 students across 17 schools. Familiar faces like Deborah Priya Henry, Dato' Seri IdrisJala, Ahmad Izham Omar, and Lisa Surihani amazed and inspired so many students to do more than dream as they taught alongside a Teach For Malaysia Fellow for a day.



For your information readers, Teach For Malaysia is looking for young Malaysian leaders who want to make a difference. They are looking for individuals from all backgrounds, majors and professional experiences, who have what it takes to excel as teachers, and to improve the quality of education for children growing up in high-need communities.
